Approximatley 1" - Feves are baked into king cakes, while santons are used in nativity scenes. FEVE'S - The French word feve means "bean". Feves are baked into king cakes, or Galette des Rois, on the Epiphany. Finding a feve in your slice of cake is considered good luck Feves are saved and collected. Feves can be used as dollhouse decorations or cake toppers. SANTONS - The word santon comes from the Provençal word santoun, which means "little saint". Santons are clay figurines that are used to create nativity scenes. Santons became popular during the French Revolution when churches were closed. Santons are used in homes and schools. There are two types of santons: unique pieces that are modeled by hand and series santons created using a mold. Santons are a local art in Marseille. Santons are a must for Christmas in Marseille.
